"This bird was released on December 7th 1999 & was the last one created on the Yamaha MT-120 4 track cassette recorder & entirely at the “shotgun shack” i lived in that was located @1204 Comal in East Austin (I was really living in squalor! ) Please see last photo from Google Earth, as the house fell apart & was demolished. Just an empty lot remains. Original artwork included Brian’s handwriting on the front & was put together by Craig McCaffrey & myself when he lived on Cherrywood before he moved up to Chicago & became the artwork director for Kranky. Originally it had a limited release on the Belgian label Sub Rosa & was re-released by Mr.Kranky back in 2002. The last track from the recording “I Will Surround You” was included in our set during the very last tour back in October of 2016. Video clip is from the Begijnhofkerk in Brussels. It became one of our favourites to play live, especially for the church concerts…."

"Adam did a bulk of the recording with me only adding some different parts in the middle of the record. But I thought the first piece ("The Atomium, Parts One, Two and Three") had this perfect build to it. And to be honest, it seemed like the bulk of this record by Adam just oozed out of him."
